IRELAND – No skimping on motor insurance
Despite the recession, Irish drivers are refusing to compromise on their motor insurance, sticking with fully comprehensive cover.
According to a recent AIB survey, more than 80 percent of people in Ireland are still opting for fully comprehensive insurance.
With 83 percent of drivers paying for fully comprehensive insurance, the survey shows that only 13 percent of people are opting for the cheaper option of third-party, fire and theft cover, while four percent have third-party cover only.
Respondents to the survey revealed that the no-claims bonus offered to them was of paramount importance.
