Lockton Brazil acquires VIS

Lockton Brazil has announced the acquisition of VIS Corretora de Seguros e Beneficios Ltda (VIS), a specialist insurance and employee benefits broker in Sao Paulo with 27 staff members. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. It is anticipated that by early January, VIS´staff will be fully integrated into Lockton Brazil´s new Sao Paulo offices.

“We saw in VIS, a client centric culture and dynamic management team, which will complement our strategy and further strengthen our expertise in the local market,” said Tony Gusmao, CEO of Lockton Brazil. VIS is a consulting, insurance brokerage, and benefits advisor, which offers customers full risk consulting support. VIS guides clients in all aspects of their business from operations to attracting and retaining talent.

“As much as ongoing consolidation in the Brazilian broking and consulting market is expected, there are a limited number of quality companies of this size with such an experienced management team,” explained Gusmao. “We were really pleased to have been able to attract them to Lockton.”
